Join Westfield Young Professionals for a silent weekend retreat for young professional women in the beauty and quiet of the Palomar Mountains. Step away from the pace of work, responsibilities, notifications, and the constant motion of everyday life, and make room for something deeper: prayer, silence, friendship, formation, and a renewed encounter with Christ.
A Weekend Away With God
You work. You answer messages. You make decisions. You carry responsibilities. You try to pray somewhere in the middle of all of it.
And sometimes you need to go somewhere quiet enough to hear again.
For one weekend, the mountains give us that space. Surrounded by fresh air, natural beauty, and the stillness of Palomar Mountain, we will step out of our ordinary routine and create room for God to speak more clearly to the heart.
By stepping away from ordinary life, you can return renewed, with greater peace, clarity, joy, and a deeper awareness that God is already waiting for you there.
The Theme
Sowers of Joy: Bringing Christ into Work and the World
Saint Josemaría Escrivá taught Christians to discover God in the middle of ordinary life: in our work, relationships, responsibilities, friendships, and all the small circumstances that make up a day. The retreat will explore what it means to become contemplative women in the middle of the world and to let our friendship with Christ transform the way we live and work.
Our professional lives are not a detour from holiness. They are part of the field God has given us to cultivate. Every meeting, deadline, conversation, task, challenge, and opportunity can become a place where love of God takes root and where joy is quietly sown.
Knowing that we are personally loved by God impels us, with his grace, to a faithful and persevering love – a love full of hope in what God will do in the Church and the world through the life of each one of us, even in our fragility.
The invitation of this weekend is simple and profound: receive His love more deeply, listen more closely, and return to the world ready to bring Christ into the places He has already entrusted to you.

Final morning of retreat: Holy Mass, meditation, and interactive discussion
