The Meaning of Your Life: An 8-Part Philosophy Series for Young Professionals

What makes a life truly meaningful – not simply busy, successful, or impressive, but coherent, purposeful, and significant?

This Wednesday, September 2, Westfield Young Professionals begins a new eight-part Philosophy Series, The Meaning of Your Life, exploring some of the deepest questions beneath the life we are already living: love, faith, work, beauty, service, suffering, calling, and the search for a life that genuinely holds together.

Drawing from themes in the work of Arthur Brooks and engaging them through a Christian understanding of the human person, this series is designed for young professional women who want more than surface-level answers. We want to think seriously, ask better questions, and learn how truth can shape the way we actually live.

Saint Josemaría Escrivá taught that our ordinary life is precisely where God meets us – in our work, friendships, responsibilities, service, prayer, and the seemingly small choices that fill an ordinary day. That vision sits quietly beneath this entire series. Meaning is not something we have to escape our real lives to find. It can be discovered, deepened, and lived right in the middle of them.

We Begin This Wednesday

Session 1: Introduction – The Meaning of Meaning
Wednesday, September 2, 2026
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Our opening question is simple to ask and much harder to answer:

What does it mean for my life to be coherent, purposeful, and significant?

This is not a lecture series about collecting abstractions. It is a chance to step outside the noise for an evening, think more deeply about the life you are building, and have a real conversation with other women who are asking many of the same questions.

Main Location: Westfield Residence, 500 Kelton Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90024
